REDHOOD

Yeah, the fan needed to be in front to get the Center of Gravity correct for flight. I originally wanted to put it in the fuselage behind the wing but I would have needed to add a lot of weight to get it to balance.

The base model is a Parkzone P-47.

a "simple" modofication

(well it always looks simpler that it is...)

to drive to a very original model.

What kind of fan is it ?  what diameter ?

What scale is the parkzone ?

REDHOOD

The fan is a 70mm dynam one from a combo kit offered by hobbypartz.com. It's scale is about 1/12th.

renax

thank you.

enjoy flying it...

Tophe

Interesting. Maybe for next Christmas, I'd become a purchaser of the jet N-9.

Tophe,sorry  its sold out...

Tophe

The SNCASO Dever http://www.sharkit.com/sharkit/dever/dever.htm may replace fine, if available again?

The mind BOGGLES at what you're going to do with THAT!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I could chose the Edgley Optica but I think I remember you told me the canopy is vacform and I am not good enough to take care of it.
Or two copies of Airtruk, to build a Twin-Airtruk triplane  ... Is the stock so low that you refuse double orders? :-\
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

renax

Airtruk: it comes 1/48 in 2 weeks if all runs good

Tophe: for the Airtruk there is still some stock, most of the time news models are stocked, but only sometime old ones.

PR19_Kit

I''ve got a mild case of hysterics here at the thought of Tophe's version of a Twin-Truk!  :o

Would it have 3 booms or 5 Tophe?

I think it would have 2 booms like the one we discussed at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,33710.195.html with Tonton42. With the 2 other booms going to the sparebox, for some extra creation...
