OK, this is my red-starred build - a Sovietised F-18 Hornet. It will be getting clipped Mig-style tail fins, bigger engines and boxy Foxbat-style intakes, and some very big missiles. I'm using the Revell CF-18 kit, which I think is a rebox of the Italeri kit. It's a bit on the rough side - flash, ejector marks, wobbly detail etc, so it's perfect for hacking about.

No pics yet, as I haven't done any mods or anything worth showing at the moment.

What I really need is some suggestions for designations and background story. I thought about Mig-28, but that's been done; also Yak-118 to link with Yakovlev's naval history - maybe the Soviets build their planned carriers in the 70s and 80s, and need something to fly off them?

Had enough of this build - couldn't get motivated for it, so I'm canning it.
