The four "Female Army Soldiers" would look good perched all over Bandai's Type 61 tank.

oohh just noticed that the company has a few new releases, the nurses and aa. auxiliary crew would make for an instant if disturbing 'Berlin 45' vingette, the 'hands in ears' one would look nice next to any of the 1/32 jet models and with a lil change of headwear be suitable for RAF or USAAF. too? hmmm

Nice, but doesn't quite live up to the original:

Cliffy B

Something about the face....  She's cute as a button in the photo but the figurine makes her look like awful!  The sculptor needs to be slapped with a giant fish!

 the Chinese figures sound like they would be a 'different' build, the previous Bronco female figures set were a tad too modern and mangaesque for the subjects they were intended to portray

aw i cant find the original 'girl on a bomb' image now, definately agree the model figurine doesnt quite match with what i recall tho?

cheers, Joe

I don't think the sculptor spent much time looking at her face!

Not too uncommon, unfortunately. Part of the problem is the scale: what looks ok when you view the sculpture from a reasonable distance, may not look so good under the microscopic view of a closeup photo.

ChernayaAkula

^ Yup. Scale may play a part. And it seems that many sculptors who usually sculpt male subjects just change the physiognomy "from the neck down" when sculpting a female subject, but sculpt the head more or less the same way they would when sculpting a man.

Gee, I wonder why?  Could this also have affected the sculptor's sense of scale due to "perspective"?  Just a thought.
