A huge death-dealing one, of course.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Actually, that looks kind of awesome, like lava.  Almost looks intentional.

Yeah my wife thought it looked cool too but with my luck it won't duplicate on the bottom. I was going to do the front half gray ,the back half black ,then mask off stripes and paint everything orange again so it would be a Tiger Meet plane.

Are you INSANE?!  This is the Muse Of Modeling trying to tell you something.  Use this crackling result and use it wisely.  Don't worry about the bottom (that's why it's called "the bottom" ---- it doesn't have to match the top).

I used to purposely paint flat acrylic over gloss enamel to get this result for stuff like auto tires and pavement.  But what you have here is a veritable goldmine.

Imagine if you overpainted the red-crackling with translucent yellow-tinted Klear in an airbrush using the most narrow pattern possible: it would look like some sort of hellish lightning all over the plane.  Combine that with the recent "Eddie" logo and you've probably won Whiffie of 2009!

It's a freakin' HELLHOUND!

People will imagine you toiling away for days with a Dremel to get this crackleflage!   Maybe you don't even need any further embellishment; it looks pretty wicked as is.  The pilot's callsign could be "DIABLO"

Wow...!

It's subtle enough that, from a distance, it will look like simply a very cool innovative aircraft on the shelf.  But, as the viewer approaches, they'll be struck by the crackleflage.

You should see if any gaming figures of Ogres and such come in a scale close to 1:48....imagine them slaving over the aircraft on a tarmac that looks like something out of Dante's Inferno!

Ral Partha used to make some pretty neat 1/48ths.

Personally, I think it is that odd factor of "hey now" that is working out quite well.
