My very quick and very crude idea of what a single (P&W F-100) engined Hornet (the ultimate result of the Cobra) might look like:

Bugger!!! I guess I had better do a better quality (and correctly scaled) version hadn't I :banghead:.

GTX,

The engines appear to be a little bit large even for an F-100.  I also was thinking about going with a single tail instead.

That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.

GTX

I did say it was crude and needing correct scaling...

I would like to see it with one tail ;D But ef -100 we'll just say it's a TEW engine ;D

Actually Scooterman gave me a little Bug so I will probably go with a 1/48 F-16 for the butt end. Now do I use the Viper tail or one of the ones from the Bug? Also did we ever decide on one intake or two?

I was tending towards intakes much like the standard Hornet/Cobra.

sotoolslinger,

Why not make an F-18XL (someone already did this actually at my recommendation) but do it with a SUPER-bug instead of a regular F-18.  That would be completely badass

BTW:  By the way I found something out.  The boom-like structures on the F-16 that mount the stabilators and speed brakes are also called shelves.

That's pretty much the idea of the delta Superbug. I will eliminate the horizontal stabs and place the delta wing all the way back on the fuse so it blends in with the lerx correctly.
