Here are some more shots of the Interceptor Vigi.   You are correct in that the F-4, when first proposed for use by the USAF was called the F-110.  At the time, there were separate designations for the Navy and USAF; the F-4 was the F4J-1 in the Navy.

While we are on North American Fighters, here are two F-107s, one NMF and the other SEA cammo (more of a SAC scheme vs. a TAC scheme.

And finally for today, one of the many Tigercats, this one an AF-65C, in an overall grey scheme before SEA cammo.  This is a 2 seater, cobbled together from two of the Monogram 1/72 Tigercats.  I did this in March 1977, a long, long time ago; it has been been damaged and repaired several times, as well as had several paint schemes over the years.

The premise on the ANG Tigercat was that there were several thousand built during and after WWII; it was used in the Skyraider role in Korea and VN; many were given to the Guard and they dressed one up in a light/dark Ghost Grey scheme.  Here is a Jaguar from the same unit.

Here are a bunch of big radial engine fighters, including a batch of USAF F4Us.  In this world, the USAF needed a radial-engined attack aircraft in Korea (the liquid cooled P-51 was proving to be way too vulnerable), the F4U was still in production, so the USAF acquired a number in 1953.  These would probably have been designated F-97 or F-98.  They were so useful that they stayed around to the Vietnam War.

Looks like your collection also knows no bounds!!!

Clearly, being as gifted and creative as you are, you must be Canadian!

Looking forward to more.

In this context I think we need to re-define the word 'few'..........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit
