Thanks, Wes.  Nice camo.  I guess that's to replace their Dauntlesses.  I don't think I'd want to take that back about the carrier with the #3 rocket looking like that, though!

Cheers,

Logan

It is a bit loose, I did not notice that.  Also, the markings are totally ficticious; I just noticed that an Italian flag is on the tail!!

To add to the variety, here are a few What If Corsairs; some of these are very inexpensive kits used as paint test beds.

A few more; Typhoons and a Moonbat.

Here are some better shots of the USN Sea Fury.

That Moonbat looks better than the real thing.

For the P-67B Moonbat, IIRC, I used a canopy from an F-104, thought it made the aircraft look better; by the time it would have gone into service in WWII, it most likely would have had a bubble canopy, like the P-47D-25 and P-51D.

I really would have preferred to use red letters and numbers, but did not have any in the decal stash, and did not want to wait.

Funny, too.  When you add that canopy and dark glossy paint scheme, it looks a LOT like a piston-powered Banshee.  I never realized how similar the design styles were between these two early McDonnell fighters.

Thanks for the USN Sea Fury pics.

^ Agreed about the Moonbat/Banshee similarity. Never noticed 'til you just said it.
