Baz "Screamin Rat" Snell started his fortune running a junk yard. By the early 80's he was one of the largest recyclers in Canada. When he received the contract from the Rebublic of Texas to handle all of its obsolete military hardware one of the stipulations was the he do all the recycling and haz-mat work in the RoT and to only deal in surplus parts to approved Combined Commonwealth allies. In the late 90's he recieved in his huge materials handling complex in the south western Republic a consignment of ex Luftwaffe MiG-29's. Being a pilot and lifelong aviation enthusiast he rebuilt and modified several adding his own designs and utilized his multi billion dollar materials laboratories to vastly improve the
design. He flew several of his modified AC in unlimited class air races and at one race in 2000 he was jokingly told by a high level RoT gov't official that he should enter his plane in the Republics lightweight fighter competiton. In 2002 ,after modifying the design to be a feasible weapons platform, he did and his design not only won but came in under the price of all other competitors.

Utilizing advanced manufacturing techniques and materials as well as Toolslinger Engine Works powerplants the AC was basically a longer ranged more manuverable MiG-29 utilizing a wing modified from the RoT Hammerhead  ;D

I started this last night

The wings fit so well I have not used anything but model glue and super glue to attach the parts

I blended the front and rear of the wing but I will not be installing canards

The cat fails to be impressed

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

sotoolslinger

I always thought it was really cool that with a limited number of ways to shape an aerodynamic AC you can come up with so many different designs ;D

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, yes!!
I am liking this Ron, thrust vectoring has to be the way forward for this piece of kit, and it has to have at least 8 air to air missiles on it.
Nice one, will be watching this one

Probably a RELATIVELY light loadout.   She is supposed to be a lightweight dogfighter. A couple of 20 mm revolver guns with 400 rpg a medium long range missile on the centerline (since I don't have to hang a droptank) 2 medium range radar guided on the engine nacells and probably 4 short IR missiles on wing hardpoints.......so only 7
