That J.1 does look impressive and 1/32 is ok for WWI subjects, I've got a few of the really nice Roden kits, problem is they are starting to get pricey

Add about 1 1/2 inch in the center section of the wing, a simple single strut for the ski and Minnesota has it's first squadron of  Air National Guard fighters.  Uffda ja!

But then if your order got stopped by UK customs, you'd have to pay UK duty and VAT on top of those prices. Hannants have certainly had to pay it, and I bet they didn't get free shipment. I'm not the expert, but if I've got it right, that adds about 22.5% to the price. That makes the Duellists kit $427.53 which is roughly £280. So Hannants are adding about 20% and then have to pay the shipping costs and warehousing and handling overheads. Not unreasonable IMHO.

And at that pricing level it certainly would be! Both OGL and I have had major bust-ups with Customs and the UK Border Agency with their well over-zealous application of rules that don't apply to our materials.
