Were you thinking Anti-flash White or Grey/Green over White for the Dominie?

Bob,

The latter, in order that the trainee Navs and GIBs can get used to flying at 500 ft while trying not to be seen.

Or maybe all-over camo?

After a HUGE delay, the JP6 is back on the build programme, especially for our Project Cosford 2012 show in April.

I did some research into colour schemes and it seems there's only one choice as RAF OCUs, which normally used 'spare' aircraft from their parent and co-located squadrons, were always painted in the standard scheme of the parent units. So the JP6 will be in a Vulcan all over camo scheme, probably the later Dark Sea Grey and Dark Green scheme with red/blue roundels. I've done some teeny 230 OCU fin decals to make it 'authentic'.  ;)

Pics tomorrow of the assembly but at the moment the starboard wing is drying after a PIG of a job glueing it into place. Sadly it's not exactly parallel to the port one, but I did try, and try, and TRY!

Here's the JP6 so far.

Both wings attached and filed so they're the same shape! New fin in place and the Obscurco cockpit, or much of it, installed. The ccokpit looks great but it's a pig to fit and mine has a slanting floor as a result, but you don't notice it when the canopy's in place

Glad you like it guys, thanks.  ;D

Dan, the colour scheme is mention in the post right above the piccie, it'll look just like a mini-Vulcan.

Looking really good Kit --

the only comment I might make is that the leading edge extension could do with being the other way around, like this;

The point of the extention is nearer the wingtip than the fuselage.  FYI, for the B.1a wing, the wingtip is at the end of the resin part

I agree Robert, but I'm stuck with using the FD2 wing (it was the only one I had handy at the time....) and the sweep angle is really too great. It could do with being a LOT less but I don't have enough time before Cosford to make a larger extension.

Anyway, by the time I camouflage it no-one will be able to see the details anyway.  ;) ;D

Working on it............  ;)

The JP6 got dumped from my Cosford programme, just not enough time to build everything in my head!  :banghead:

After more than a few years the COVID-19 crisis has brought this shelf queen back to life!

While digging around in my model room looking for kits to take back to Northants with me this morning I found this long lost project lurking in its box, so packed it up and brought it with me.

I started this in 2009, for crying out loud!  :o
