All 1/72 (and all by Airfix!):

30-series Mosquito bomber/recce versions
Rumoured 2013 Airfix Spitfire to either be a Mk 14 or a 16 (although AZ may have just scuppered that)
Seafire FR47
Sea Vixen
Shackleton MR2/AEW2
Vampire T11
New Hawker Typhoon
New Javelin (any mark)
New Jet Provost T4
New EE Lightnings (all marks)

And by anyone who cares (and at a sensible price (so it won't be Hasegawa!) I second the call for an MB5.

The Wooksta!

I doubt Airfix will announce anything big for next year, given Hornby's profit warnings recently.

I'll be happy with a Spitfire F.14c, because it's easier to convert to an E wing than an E is to backdate.  Plus, if you cross the 14 with the 22 you get an F21 and the C wing and canopy can go with the mk I to do a Vc.

Really, I'll be happy with any Spitfire in 72nd.  Although a Vb/Vc or F21 are the likeliest.

While I fear you may be right about the impact of Hornby trading performance, it would be interesting to see how Airfix compared to the rest their brands. Their 2012 annual report doesn't indicate, all it shows is a decline in profits. Break-even forecast this FY.

Yup Hornby are forcasting break even this year. As for Airfix then the early part of 2013's schedule is probably ready to produce and most of the investment for the second half will have been spent. If there is any effect then it will be on those projects that have just started down the development path for 2014. We forget how long the R&D is on these things for a large company.

So maybe a couple of new releases but mostly re-pops in 2014? Interesting assumption, given (I recall) Airfix's stated aim of putting out WW1 stuff to commemorate the centenery of its outbreak.

I would like in 1/72nd scale an injection moulded PZL m-28 skytruck, an Antonov AN-3 an antonov AN-14 and an AN-28. There was an AN-14 done by KP,or possibly pioneer but I have not seen one for years as I have been looking for one. These would all be a nice addition to my cartel transport contingent.

I have a 1/72 AN-14 made by VEB Plasticart, the instruction dates are 1988-89, which is moulded
in three colours and clear. The kit has a passenger interior, the seats are moulded to clear pieces
that form the side windows and interior walls.

Still hoping for that T23 medium tank in 1/35 scale. Commander Models here in the US do an early VVSS equipped version in resin but I'd really like to see one as an injection molded kit. I'd also prefer the "E3" version with torsion bar suspension over the VVSS.

Some more members of the CV90 family in 1/35 scale, especially the CV90/35 and the CV90/120. Rumored to be "in the works" from Hobby Boss but sometime in the near future would be better.

I'd also like to see a Japanese Type 10 in 1/35. There's a 1/72 version from Fujimi and a very basic 1/48 motorized kit from Aoshima (I think) but 1/35 is my preference here. I'm sure Tamiya will do one at some point but I imagine it'll be stupidly expensive and maybe have some odd feature like diecast road wheels or lower hull.

Dare I even hope for some up-to-date kits of US and UK early Cold War vehicles? A Bishop SP gun and Saladin armored (sorry, armoured) car and for the US, some more members of the M41 based family like the M75 and M59 APCs, M52 SP gun and the like. Sure there are old kits or resin versions of many of these but again, injection molded and 1/35 scale would be my preference.
Some clever and amusing quote goes here.

.

Yeap they will have various items already being prototyped and test shot for 2013, some of the 2011/2 new releases have already rolled over to 2013, but no doubt they will be deciding what elements to include in the 2014 catalogue so it can be printed ready for New Years Day and the Traders. I suspect they may have one or two big headline projects, a few more old kit replacements and probably a few more re-issues to take up the slack. We'll have to see if they announce anything early at SMW as they intended to.

I'd like Airfix to do a box set of their 1/144 Corgi Victor, Valiant and Vulcan as plastic kits.  ;D

Yup it depends on how far down the R&D path they are. I've based my assumption on that path being 18 months or so but it may be longer (quite possibly is) so if there is any knock on might be 2015 ? Also dependent on other factors. Is the R&D budget ringfenced ? Is the drop in earnings purely down to the slow take up of the Olympic stuff ? If so then we might not notice any significant slow down. As Geoff says probably get more concrete info at Telford.

A good injection moulded Supermarine Scimitar in 1:48.  Same with a Meteor series to replace the Classic Airframes series, particularly the F.8.  It'll never happen.
