Another armor piece I would like to see is a Unimog with a ZPU4 mounted (1/35th and 1/72nd). Revell's Unimog is a later version.

Another of my wishes is that some manufacturer will do some modern Triple A, preferably in 1/72.  And I don't mean some Soviet/Russian/Eastern Block types, RAF, CAF, USAF, French, German is what I'm really after.

Up at Cold Lake a few years ago I saw some CAF airfield defence type, twin barrel and sounded like a Bofor but a bit faster, it seemed the gunner was in another vehicle but can't be sure on that.

Modern? I think NATO stopped developing those kinds of weapons long time ago. The Bofors would have been an old type.

Perhaps you are looking for CIWS's like the Vulcan cannon and the various vehicles it can be mounted on, as well as that AA version of the Leopard tank?

Wouldn't the Vulcan system fall under 'modern' Trip7, but Triple A is still quite effective as we all saw a few years ago.  Tha Canadian Triple A I saw was quite modern looking, the guns were in there own turret with the radar and operators in the support vehicle,

Is there something wrong with the 1:72 Revell Tornado F3? The GR1 is very nice indeed.

The IDS/GR1 was redone by Revell in the late 90's and is a rather well detailed kit, however the F-3 is just a rebox of the Italeri kit with new markings, so not nearlly as nice as the current IDS/GR1

id love to see a 72 scale injection C.17 Globemaster, Airbus A400M and a Grumman ASTOR (the latter would be ideal as a possible Airfix release, the previous 2 possibly Revell?)

ASTOR

An ASTOR is bound to be in the works somewhere, and will be announced just before I finish my scratchbuild...

Ah, I didn't know that. I assumed they'd been tooled at about the same time. I'll second that, then - Revell to do a new F3!

The Revell C-17A is coming out in November. It will be 1/144.

There are many such systems still around. Oerlikon make a whole slew of them, as do Bofors, both all their own work and by contributing guns to other people's systems.

Oh, and just for Philip, a Firefly-class merchant vessel in, I guess, 1/144th scale.... (just bought the DVDs having never seen the series)

Actually would like it in 1/72nd  but 1/144th would do nicely.  There is a large scale card kit of this that I would like to use as templates for a plastic version.  Build up here.

Wow. All the choices and what I mainly want is a decent injection Scimitar in either 48th (preferably) or 72nd.

Looks as if Hannants will announce a new Xtrakit of a 72nd Supermarine Scimitar F1 this weekend, although no idea when its actually available (price listed at £17.99)
