Nothing wrong with MPM these days.  Their Meteors are stunning pieces of tooling, the Defiants were top notch too.

My thoughts exactly and the latest Special Hobby stuff Skua, Roc & Fulmar are decent toolings as well

Think I asked before for decent Leanders in 1/700th....

How about original designs for non-first world navies? I'm thinking particularly of the Vosper export frigates, from the smallest (Nigeria's Mk.1s and 3s) to the largest (Brazil's Mk.10 Niterois). Whatever their fighting qualities, they're one of the prettiest designs ever, and surely the Iranian Mk.5 Saam's status as the fastest frigates in the world earns them a small place in history?

Leanders would be grand; I'd be 3 or 4. All you need do is drop a different weapon forward, make some minor changes to the superstructure, and make up a story for a quick whif - Harpoons, OTO Melara, SM-1 launcher, ASROC. The whole Skywave E-4 set! Soviet weapons! (India and Indonesia bought from both sides, for example.)
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Forgiving any overlooked kits that do exist, but then I suppose if I can't find them, they're still technically on my wishlist :P

All in my chosen scale of 1/48th, and in affordable plastic!

-Su-37
-A new molding of the Viggen (ANY variant!)
-A re-release of the V-22
-An F-20 Tigershark
-F-16XL
-EF-18G Growler
-SU-24 Fencer
-Gulfstream business jets - or just bizjets in general!
-YF-23 Black Widow
-MiG 1.44 MFI
-A 1/48 scale RUSSIAN weapons set!
-And a European weapons set!
-an easily available 1/48th scale OV-10 Bronco
-Alpha Jet
-AMX

As long as it's injection-moulded, I don't really mind the scale:

Grumman AF Guardian
Vultee XA-41
Brewster SB2A
Martin XB-48
Short Sperrin
Vickers Varsity
Airspeed Ambassador
Arsenal VB-10
& a Tu-128 made by ANYONE other than A-Model!

There's probably more that I've forgotten but those would do me for now!  ;D

B777LR

  • The all-new Su-35BM. The one that looks like a basic Su-27, but with lighter weight, larger front fuselage etc.
  • The MiG-35 twin seater
  • The Super Hind made by a South African company
  • The Su-25SM
  • The Su-30MKI
  • An-70
  • Mi-17MTV-5

How about some models of modern Italian warships? They're remarkably pretty.......

It'd be nice if Dragon decided to capitalize on that and give us more European ships in general - they're the ones who have the old Skywave E-4 sprue, which has the French 100, the Breda 40, the Meroka, and other weapons, or for that matter why didn't Pit-road capitalize on that concept and use all those weapons for something more than looking pretty on the sprue?

It's an odd selection on that sprue isn't it? It has widely used systems like all those turrets you mention, yet Mk.10 and Mk.26 Standard launchers, the former of which was only used by a few export customers (Italian Andrea Doria/Vittorio Veneto, Dutch cruiser (?)) and the latter by none. Yet on the other hand, the Mk.11 and Mk.13, the latter of which has been exported so widely as to be ubiqitous, arn't represented.....

It is indeed an odd selection on the sprue.  I'm not so sure there's a Mk26 on the sprue though, looking at it - the stand is too wide in truth, the Mk26 is smaller, but the arms are similar.  I find it ironic that the selection on that sprue would also allow the sprue to be used effectively for the main equipment of a KDX-III if Dragon would get off their keisters and make the slight changes to a Burke IIA to allow them to produce it.  The Mk13 is on another sprue, the US Weapons one which they even did a special release including RAM and Mk41, shame they didn't make that the Standard Release - at least I can get RAM through JAG and Mk41 from Flyhawk in the 32 and 64 cell flavours.

Don't even get me started on the wish for an Andrea Doria Cruiser - I would love to get one with the Polaris tubes on it.

I've got a simple wish list at the moment, a good 1/72 A3J-1/A-5A or conversion therefor.  As 'tis, I've got to do some major splicing between the Monogram 1/76 kit and a donor RA-5C.

Try Delphis & Regina Marina, both do resin kits in 1/700 of the modern Italian ships

I've been after a Scaled Composites ARES for some time.  A Boeing Skyfox would be nice too, but I'd prefer the ARES.  I'd like to see that kit of the PZL Skorpion re-released too.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Look for Tinitymews on ebay, the PZL Skorpion pops up quite frequently as the host shop is also the producer.
