I think one of the seventies American versions has been done, but not a European version as far as I'm aware.  They share the name but are two completely different beasts.

Thanks Mossie

You know, I read the thread on the Bloodhound SSC & thought it would be nice to see some LSR kits.  Airfix or somebody producing kits of Thrust 2, Thrust SSC & Bloodhound SSC might help raise funds for the project.

Plus, any mainstream kits of more classic LSR cars would be good.

Yes please!

Found it, it was Lindberg, they did a 1/32 American 1976 Ford Granada.  Still can't find a kit of the European Grandad or Scorpio.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

If anyone finds the 1/24 Mazda Lantis kit from Tanomi for a lot less than £125, please let me know!!
Apparently it's a short run resin kit with only 200 made.

I'm interested as I drive one of these, known in Europe as the Mazda 323F.

McColm

I know you can still buy the die cast ford Gran Torino in the Starsky and Hutch colours, but what about a kit version?

The Wooksta!

There's a few cars I'd like, preferably all in 24th:

Airfix
BMW M1
Lotus Elite
MGB Roadster

Tamiya
Lotus 7
Lotus Europa

Aoshima (I think!)
Lotus Elan (60s type!)

Wish list (24th injection)
MGB GT
Ford Cortina Mk 3 GXL 4-door (Gene Hunt's motor!)
Ford Granada Mk 1 (Jack Regan!)
Jaguar XK8/XKR hardtop

But what I'd really, really REALLY want is a 1:1 scale Aston Martin DB7 GT Coupe in Vertigo Blue metallic.  And the lottery win to fund me driving it.

-more Revell Luft46 re-issues (He162, Me1011, AR234C & ar E.381 Julia,...)

These were never Revell kits but bought from Dragon and reboxed, hence the nightmarish build of the Ar 234C.  Unlikely to happen again but you can live in hope.  There's still plenty of them floating about.

my wish list is rather short
uss texas in any scale

I presume the battleship? Classic Warships, Niko, and Samek each make 1/700.
Iron Shipwright has a resin 1/350.

Lone Star Models make the ironclad CSS Texas in 1/192 resin, and Thoroughbred in metal in 1/600.

There are also the Virginia classes CGN and SSN. JAG makes a resin 1/700 CGN. And a Chinese company might be making a model of the SSN.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

yes the battleship, everywhere i look it is either sold out, not being made anymore or so overpriced i could not afford it. i will look for the makers you list . thank you

We might get lucky and have Pitroad and Trumpeter come out with a model of the Texas and New York. Even if they're mildly inaccurate, as long as they're styrene it won't be hard to fix them up right.

I myself am awaiting a plastic Brooklyn class CL; I plan to buy at least four - one real world, one Patchwork World, and two to be hacked into couple cruisers for an alternate USN of my own invention.

I'm not sure if the 1/72 Hasegawa PS-1/US-1 amphibious aircraft/flying boat is still available, but if anyone knows of a supplier in the UK. Please let me know?

I think they are re-issuing it this year, it certainly popped up on the Hobbysearch Japan website as a restock in the last week or so.

Would be nice to see the British cruisers produced, County, Ajax, Dido, Town & Colony classes as these were the work horses of the Royal Navy effort during WW2, although there were rumours of Tamiya doing Dorsetshire in 1/700.

Let me second the motion for a 1/700 Texas or New York.  I'd also like to see Dragon/Cybermodeler do some more of the angled-deck Essex class carriers (Oriskany, Bon Homme Richard, Ticonderoga, etc.)  Has there ever been a kit of the Iwo Jima class LPH?

On the 1/72 aircraft front, I wouldn't mind kits of the Israeli A-4N and the Singaporean A-4SU.
