A decent, state-of-the-art AH-1G Cobra in 1/72!  :banghead: Can't understand why there's no current kit of this iconic helo gunship in any scale!
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Special Hobby has one due, although I think it has been for some time.  Not 'state of the art', but their stuff is supposed to be a lot better than it used to be & shouldn't be too much effort?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Let me second the motion for a 1/700 Texas or New York.  I'd also like to see Dragon/Cybermodeler do some more of the angled-deck Essex class carriers (Oriskany, Bon Homme Richard, Ticonderoga, etc.)  Has there ever been a kit of the Iwo Jima class LPH?

Aurora made a 1/600 USS Guadalcanal, but that's long out of production. I have the remnants of one.
Waveline, Skywave's resin arm, make a 1/700.
There might soon be one in plastic in 1/700 or even 1/350, but I can't say for certain.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Yeah, I know. They announced it at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 2005! More than five years ago. Not a single word since then. I'm not really holding my breath in anticipation. At least not any longer.
And I think I'd rather see someone else tackle this. Special Hobby ain't exactly cheap. Profiline and AZ Model both offer really nice 1/72 Hughes MD-500s for very decent prices, for example.
Or maybe Academy or Revell. Or even Italeri, who were the "chopper kings" a couple of years ago.
Cheers,
Moritz

When you consider that Trumpeter/Pitroad do the Blue Ridge which is a Commandship based upon the Iwo Jima class hull, it would be nice if they did an actual Iwo Jima class to go with them !

MasterKit make a couple of different AH-1Gs.  The weapons fit is kind of rough, but the kit pods can be replaced with some from Hasegawa.

The Ford 1/24 Capri model.

That would be nice.  I've been looking for the Tamiya kit for some time, it's very difficult to find & goes for a pretty penny.  I'd like to see it re-released & any models of more common or garden Capris would be welcome, even the old Airfix 1/32 kit.
I've checked on EBay and there are a few kits available.

I would like to see a good quality accurate F-35 with a proper set of Cannuckistan roundels. Something about having a salad in your roundel gives me a ____on!

Italeri's OH-6A is a nice kit, would look good in ALAT colours as a Gazelle alternative, had the Ango-French helicopter agreement not gone ahead.

I am still waiting for the Trump Be-6 flying boat, and Academy CV-90.

Masterkit? I've got two or three from Mastercraft. And they're why I wrote decent and state-of-the-art, because the Mastercraft kits are, well, neither. Just had a look. Cockpit not worth writing home about, rough surfaces, panel lines that I could engrave better with a rusty butter knife. At least they're cheap and have great box-arts!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looks good, bet mine won't be anywhere as good.
