...dark glasses, so that I can walk past a modelling shop without going in and buying something.

Doesn't work.  They just turn up the brightness on the lights when they see you coming... ;D

Would it be  excessive to wish for a few days peace and quiet to read through  bits of my library  That have re-emerged after the recent  redecoration  of parts of Chateau Rheged?   The addition of a quantity of Ardbeg, Laphroaig and/or Springbank  would be nice too.

Well we have had the 2013 listings from first Airfix and now Revell. From a 1/72nd perspective whilst some interesting models due out (Airfix Vampire, Harriers, Lightning and Lancaster, Revell Gripen) there's not been a great deal of original new mould subjects announced. Hopefully we'll something tempting from the Chinese (Trumpeter/HobbyBoss/Meng & Dragon) together with Italeri as the European Toy Fairs take place and the 2013 new release news comes out. Hopefully some peoples wish list subjects will be fullfilled or will we find ourselves looking to fringe producers or 2014 for fulfillment.  :banghead:

Good news,
The Coventry Airport restoration team is applying for a permit to fly their Avro Shackleton MR.2 WR963 which has been allocated the civilian registration G-SKTN on February 4, 2013.
Early spring should see WR963 taxing or taxi rides but at a hefty price. You can visit the Shackleton on Saturdays, the entrance fee is free.

Dornier Seastar in 1/72d, would be awesome (if tiny)

I'd love to get my hands on the three Zvezda Soviet advanced fighter models - Su-47, MiG 1.44, T-50.  I'd love to have fun with those models and do some extra stuff.
