start of my new timeline

I've been thinking of this for a while now.

It's time to start a new timeline, the one I'm thinking of will start in 1917 and i will run it till around 1950. It's going to be European based and i will be expanding a small country to it's former borders.

Pic's below are of some of the aircraft i have earmarked for the period 1920-1940 which the major period of reconstruction and expansion for my " State ".

Any guesses of the country ?

Well it's nice to see one Unicraft kit in there, but as for your State ?

Lthuania ? Very large (Poland/Lithuania) in the 16th/17th Centuries.

Sweden ?- again much larger circa 17th/18th Centuries with Norway and territories in Pommerania.

I would have said Austria but as your timeline starts in 1917 it was still big then.

their are Russian , British and French aircraft.

The " State "  is very small, exists today and has done for over 1000 years.

If im not mistaken, Denmark is also about 1000 years old.

What are the papal states?

I think we're looking at aircraft of the Air Force of the Holy See. For authenticity, you'd probably need to translate that title into Latin.

That's the one.     

In my ATL Italy suffers a massive loss of faith in the govenment after a disaterous result to a few Austrian offensives. Civil war in 1917 and the reamergance of the Papal States, based upon Rome.

We will see Papal aircraft and of course Swiss Guard and also a well known personage will put in an apperance as a Cardinal.

Not sure of the markings yet but looking at some sort of red field with a whie cross upon it with crossed keys on that.  Not sure how this will look but got a chap working on it now ( CAD drawing and all that ) .

My first aircraft will be from the St Michael sqd of the Swiss Guard.

The twin engined thing in the photo is an Unicraft Models Soviet Grokhovsky G-38 light Cruiser, very nice and too nice for a Red Star.

Radish gets a promotion 

I like the idea. I have a "Cold War30's" scenario based on a similar scheme of alliances as in the League of the War of Ausberg and the War of the Spanish Sucession, all 17th/18th Century stuff.

How was the G38 to build ? I got it out of the stash the other day

To be fair it was an absolute PIG.   

It just didn't want to fit, it was warped and the resin was brittle.   

But..........I love the aeroplane and how it looks so i forgave it, the scamp.
