Decisions, decisions.....

Have four RW projects on the bench just now; A 1:48 Hasegawa Ju87R-2, a 1:48 HobbyBoss Mirage IIICZ, a 1:72 Special Hobby Meteor FR9 and a 1:72 Esci Harrier GR1. But with the Dornier now finished and a colossal lack of enthusiasm for the much delayed Alpha Jet, I find that I have no 'ongoing' What Ifs.....

.....I could dig-out the Mexican MiG 29, all that needs is a major re-masking and another coat of bluey grey and it's just about done..... Or I could start something new, here's the contenders:-

Airfix 1:48 Spitfire Mk22/24 - French Colonial Air Force, Haiti Wing, circa 1948.

Fujimi 1:72 A-7E - RNoAF, Bardfoss AB, 1985.

AMTech/Tamiya 1:48 Ta183 - Jg27, Nth. Africa 1947.
                                                         or
                                         - Spanish Nationalist Air Force, Battle of Cadiz 1949.
                                                         or
                                         - Hungarian Volunteer Air Wing, Western Crimea, 1948

Zvezda ?/RoG 1:48 Kamov Ka50 - PLAAF, Hainan, 2010.

Hobbycraft/Academy 1:48 F8F Bearcat - Fleet Air Arm, HMS Ocean, Korea 1950
                                                                                   or
                                                         - RCN, circa 1954

Airfix 1:72 TSR2 - An export recconaisance machine, flown by a European NATO ally in the depths of the 'Cold War'.... Is that vague enough ?

As ever they will be simply 'Paints Kits Differently' projects, well except for the F8F, I have plans for that Bearcat . Come-on give me a hand, tell me what to do, I'm too tired to think for m'self tonight !

Over to you lot, thanks in advance.

Pffft, like we have it any easier deciding on something on that list.  :banghead:

Two favourite planes (Spit and Ka-50), cool profiles of the Ta 183 by Gekko and that Norwegian A-7.  :drink:

My vote is for the A-7E.  Should look great in Norwegian markings and with Penguins. Runner up would be the Ka-50.

Regarding the Ka-50. It should be Italeri/RoG. IIRC, Zvezda got into 1/48 for the first time only recently with their La-5FN. ;)
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

You know me Ian - has to be the Spit  I can just imagine what a French Colonial AF machine might look like
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Save the Ta183 for the SCW GB.  I vote for the TSR2.

I'd most like to see the Norwegian SLUF or the Spanish Nationalist Ta183.

It all falls down to one of two.
The Norwegian A-7 or the FAA Bearcat, and as I have already done a FAA Bearcat, the winner is.....................................

Yeah, I'm intrigued by the Bearcat....

What colours on the Sluff?  All over green?  USAF delivery scheme (RNoAF roundels might look good on that)?  Camo like on their Hercs ( anumbe?  NMF???  Or Something Completely Different (Python quotes welcome!)?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Penguins arrived today from Trev..... The A-7N now hits the workbench. Won't get done for some considerable time though as work and holidays will take-up ALL of June ! - Off to find a set of plans/drawings on t'interweb so I can sketch-out a camouflage scheme !

More posts on this one will be in the 'Workbench/WiP' board.
