Gentlemen, Goats, Sloths, Moleskin Trousers, and Waste Paper Baskets; lend me your ears!

I have had an idea which must be shared!
The idea is this: Whiff a Skiff. That is, create a What If? model based on a Sci Fi subject.
You could ask yourself What If the Romulan/Klingon technology swap from TOS continued into the TNG era, and porduce Romulan marked Birds of Prey. You could produce an Imperial X-Wing, or ask yourself "If the Swedish AirForce flew Variafighters; what would they look like?"

So; take an existing Sci Fi kit or subject from an existing Sci Fi universe, series, film or continuity, and whiff it into something else.

What think you?
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

The Rat

One of the coolest whiffs I've seen is a Naboo fighter in, I believe USN markings. Think I saw an X-wing in USAF too, can't be certain. 'Twould be a nice GB that's for sure!

I have been planning a US Navy USS Defiant for a while I just haven't gotten to it yet.But I have plenty of sci-fi kits in the stash

There's a sci-fi GB being proposed, could this be intergrated into it?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Got some bizarre Bandai spaceships - since I'm not familiar with the shows they're from, I'd have no compunction about horribly whiffing them up: that's what they're for!

They're pretty "out-there" in style, so I'm thinking some really sober and "serious" real-world camouflage..... ;D

If you post a couple pics of the boxes I may be able to tell you what animation they're from

I've got two Revell easykit pocket whifs planned:  A USN ARC-170 starfighter and a Russian Snowspeeder.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Posted pics on the "Stash" thread when I got 'em, but they're probably buried now, so here they are again:

Think the last one might be from that space-battleship-Yamoto thing...

Yes indeed the first 2 are the Core Fighters from Great Mazinger and Mazinger Z (In that order) while the third is Mamoru Kodai's (Derek Wildstar) Cosmo Zero from Space Cruiser Yamato (Star Blazers) I've never built the first 2 but I have the Cosmo Zero as well as the Cosmo Tiger I & II in my stash some of the details are a lil on the heavy side but they are nice builds (The Yamato kits that is) I have more than a few of the Bandai Kits in my stash and most of them are rather nice lil kits

Cheers Panzer!

The first two are on the borderline between toys and kits, with very simple cockpits and spring-loaded firing missiles  The second one also loses that cool fan on the bottom in favour of push-along wheels.... Very different scales too: 1st one is about 1/72nd ish, but the second is more like 1/32nd (it's a really small craft)!

More obscure Bandai coolness:

Tester Plane 03. Judging by the box artwork of other kits in the series, this is some sort of Thunderbirds rip-off, with a variety of Tester Planes operating from a half-island, half-aircraft-carrier base.

I don't suppose you could provide any more details on this one as well, could you Panzer?

Perfect timing, as I scored an Angel Interceptor at Scalefest today!!
