Gentlemen and of course Ladies / Canadians.....

I have for the past few weeks been trying to sell on Evil bay a Trumpeter Tupolev Tu-95MS Bear-H. Not that I really want to get rid of it but in truth I have no where to put it even if I did get around to constructing it. Even at 1/72nd scale it is huge ! And expensive... Hannants want £70 for one..... and I only had mine up for £45 !

The problem is the postage - in the UK it can go for £8.75 parcel but for Europe the box is too big to go by the Royal Mail's "Small Packet" service, it has to go International Courier... at £37.59 (!) USA, Australia and other ex-Empire type places would be even more. So it looks like I'm stuck with a Bear behind (behind the modelling table, that is).

I am rationalising my collection ... I have already reduced it from 2000 kits to 250 but I have very little space in which to display the finished gems. So therefore the Bear has to go.

So does anyone in the UK fancy a flighty Russian Bear look nice with a brace of Lightnings escorting it...... of whiffed into a Maltese Air/Sea rescue patrol aircraft...... hmmm.

So what do I want ? Within the UK £50 gets you the Bear including the postage but...... what I really want (start Mission Impossible music... Da da dada)... if anyone can get me a combination of any two of the following is yours for the swap. I am after a Bandai YS-11, a Heller Saab TF-35 Drakan, Olymp ProResin Bristol T-188 and the new Xtrakit Scimitar - all 1/72nd scale. Maybe you have them in your stash or know where you can get one on E-by-gum Bay - can you get them cheaper that £50 ? Maybe. If you can or think you have a better offer PM me - I may even consider Vacuforms of the Bristol and Scimitar.

I am open to offers cos it will have to go.

My apologies for all non-UKers the postage really puts you out of the picture on this one unless you are desperate for the kit (which I should mention is still sealed in its inner bag and have I mentioned how big it is, the wingspan is over 2 feet!). If so PM me and we can open a conversation - I have a saw.

For reference here's the link to the Hannants page http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=TU01601

Ok stop the music and get ready to self destruct.

Chrisonord was in the market for a Bear, I know that - he might well be interested. :) I'd go for it, but I already have the Tu-142 version. :)
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<
