I am making a master of this in 1/300. Just discovered it yesterday and I think it is one of the nicest looking planes I have seen.

Thanks, the XV-1 part is 2 pictures at 30:31 to 30:50mn
And there is another twin-boomer (of 1995, the Denever) with 5 pictures at 40:44 to 41:18mn, I did not know this one, thanks a lot!

Just noticed this thread. It should not really be necessary to say so here, but the original aeroplane is a hoax. The discussion exposing the history of the hoax is on the Secret Projects forum, at Marton X/V (RMI-8).

It is of course a deserving subject for a What-If model, and for a brilliantly crafted model at that. In fact it is so good that photos of it have been mistaken for shots of the real thing, and it has thus played its own part in perpetuating the hoax!

I love this twin-boomer, as well if true project of old times or what-if dream recently.
But I am not convinced by the "demonstration" it belongs only to the second part. The Secret Projects.co.uk article brings no proof, according to me, even if some illustrators or modellers did invent to fill unknown parts, that does not prove there was no project of this kind, imperfectly finalised.

No, the burden of proof lies with those who would claim its existence. The illustrations, models and wildly contradictory reports are the only evidence, there is nothing else, nothing at all. But one is always free to believe.

You misunderstood my words (in imperfect English, sorry): I don't believe this plane is true, I don't believe this plane is false, I just don't know, after having read the opinions of the 2 sides, both having no objective evidence.
