Considering that its diameter is not that much greater than the R3350 or the R4360 (4-5 inches more and it doesn't need clearances with the cowl for air cooling, it could be an interesting upgrade.  Now, length-wise it's some 14 inches longer than a R4360, so there might be some problems there, but I can just see this shoehorned into a a P-72 airframe, perhaps one with P-47N-planform wings, and driving either a six-bladed prop or 4-bladed contraprops.

Done!

I hope this GB takes place, I have a Ki-83 kit waiting to go. :)

The Ki-83 just might be Mitsubishi's coolest prop job.   The lines are fantastic IMHO.

There's a runoff vote, so go here and let's get this GB off the ground. I've already got a kit and modifications planned.

Already added my vote as soon as I saw the run-off

Guys, keep in mind that unless a moderator steps up, it won't matter who wins the run-off.  I'll go with the one that's got a moderator ready.

Brian's put his head on the chopping block, er, stepped up to the plate for the Spats! Build since JHM has gone beyond the Rim.

So, any volunteers?

Yes, the Pfeil is within the rules.

.....now *how* do I hang a corn cob 4360 on the front of a Fokker E.V???

Daryl J., in reality trying to think of a Seafire 47 Whiff for the Airfix kit

Hmmm....lets see...

Do335 with a single massive V-12 in the back...

Contra-rotating 5-bladed props...

Streamlined nose chock full of cannon...

USAF/Commonwealth Korean War scheme...

3 MiG 15 kill markings under the cockpit....

I'm In!!!!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
