these two pics are a model representation of a novel I have -- husband buries a blow-up doll as a dummy-run for the real thing -- fantastic story & laugh-a-minute read !!
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.

Would that novel be Wilt by Tom Sharpe? It's indeed a riot, and the movie adaptation was pretty good too ;D!

Martin
Would be marching to the beat of his own drum, if he didn't detest marching to any drumbeat at all so much.

Another brilliant Chris Binnett piece seen at the 2011 IPMS-Seattle show on April 9.

IIRC, Chris used a Fw-190 fuselage for his creation.    What'll he think of next!??!

There are lots of whiffs in this show: aircraft (including militarized gliders and a Do-28 GB), ships and other stuff.

Those are some neat gliders indeed, especially the navalized version with folding wings and tail.

This twin S-Boat though is just too neat.

Gnnnaah! I was at that show and decided not to bring my camera!  :banghead: Because my camera usually has trouble getting decent pics under these conditions and because, going by previous years, I didn't expect to see much worth taking pics of. How wrong I was! Lots of whiffery goodness at that show.  I take it there will be many more pics in the future on the IPMS Deutschland site, with special emphasis on the Do-28 contest.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Over on ARC, "madmike" posted a LINK TO HIS PICS of the Melbourne Model Expo 2011.

Among them were this cool A-10...

... and this KV-5 prototype.

Cheers,
Moritz
