I'm not sure that F-86 is a WHIFF.  There were still some Guard F-86H's in service in the late 60's and they were painted in SEA camo and had a CAS mission, although they never went to war as such. As to whether those particular markings are historically accurate or make it a WHIFF, I can't say off the top of my head.

The F-86H is definitely not a What If scheme. As Ed says they wore the SEA camo for their last couple of years before retiring, some very late RoKAF F-86F-40's also wore the same scheme in the early seventies.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
