He says that he has made a 1/48 Typhoon with Rufe floats - but there was an American by the name of Tory Mucaro who built a Hawker Monsoon before. Googling will probably find more on it.

As much as I like the look of those I tend to spoil it for myself,  I check to see if the float size would work for it.

So lets see,

Kingfisher max' takeoff weight    6000 lbs
EDIT: Shiun max' takeoff weight          10803 lbs
Typhoon max' takeoff weight     13250 lbs

The Shiun float might work but sorry to say the Kingfisher one wouldn't

And the Mk IV pontoons are from Kawanishi E15K "Shiun"/"Norm": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawanishi_E15K
Max. takeoff weight: 4,900 kg (10,803 lb)
... but they are cut down to make them "look right" on the Monsoon. Not sure if that meant shortened or lowered....

Hawker Tempest Mk V Max. takeoff weight: 13,640 lb (6,190 kg)

Interestingly, the Typhoons max take of weight is very similar to a Blenheims, and the Bolingbroke (Canadian Blenheim) floatplane had two very big floats on it.  I'm building one of these from a 3-View drawing John Adams (Aeroclub) gave me.
