Yes I can see that, as well as some mirage in there
But my first thought was a scaleramered 1/48 Gnat.....
Okay you'd have to lower the main planes, (you'd have to do that with the Jag anyway) and you might want to remodel the main U/C (also applies to the Jag) although I see nothing wrong with the U/C in the fuselage concept. Jag, Tornado, Gnat, TSR2 etc, seems to be a great (post war) British aircraft design feature
It's a thought though

Looking the link to that trainer, the builder already has it wrong with the air intakes too far up the fuselage.

To me, you'd be better off starting with one of these ---

It's by Deanflyer, can't remember if I saw it here or Britmodeller but I've definitely seen it before.
