The link for Phanton Phlashers (?) wasn't working last night when I posted that but it is now

Steampunk Steam tank:

Based on a 1/16th Tamiya tank kit, it has a real, working steam engine.

Some good stuff from the MiliSaona 2009- Model Contest and Expo.
Can't seem to bring the pics over so you will have to follow the slideshow.

That Shagohod looks rather interesting. Cool box-art. Very "Soviet propaganda"-like with the other tanks (which were projects as well, if I'm not mistaken) and the Hind-As. Only think missing is some young conscript squaddie stickin' an AK in the photographer's face with a defiant, "steely-eyed defender of Socialism"-look on his face. Very atmospheric.

Space MArine Kübelwagen rocks!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Interesting bike, love those sets above as well.

The Shagohod, I would love to get one in like 1/144 or 1/72 depending on the size, one of these days.  The Tanks as you pointed out, Moritz, are the Object 279 if I recall the number right - look at the elliptical hull and the fact it's got two sets of twin side-by-side tracks on it, ostensibly to survive a nuclear war in principle.
Putty-fu, Scratch-jutsu and Bash-chi, the sacred martial arts of the What-If. Mastering them, is Ancient Chinese Secret.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.
