I have been looking for some inspirations for my upcoming mental note topic (a warship armed with Ship-Launched Patriot Missiles) and then found this...... when you put modern-looking (as in similar to the AEGIS destroyers and such) together with the gun-laden-ness of WWII warships......

Although I personally would have a hard time justifying such arrangements unless you are fighting tsunamis of gun/torpedo boats...... and the Japanese technological prowess is exaggerated a bit (Japan, after getting out of aircraft carrier business for 92 years, is supposed to build a bunch of carriers that are more heavily armed, more spacious, and generally more effective than the US counterparts?  And yeah, they're bringing back incendary-shrapnel shells for battleship main guns......), the destroyers and cruisers have interesting setups.

Some of the Designs are really cool.  Some real whiffing talent there!

The SSBN seems to be reworked Typhoon-class. Nice.


I also like the electronic attack () Sukhoi mash-up of Su-33, Su-34 and Su-37. That just begs to be put into plastic. 



The aircraft carriers and the landing ship are also awesome.

Yup, it sacrificed the toilet and galley for two extra ECMOs and added carrier-compatibility equipment (actually from the look of the tail cone it would seem to be based on Su-27IB rather than Su-34).

Guess the Japanese thought the lack of crew comfort can be made up for by having the aircraft launched from carriers closer to their target.
