NMF? Mosquitoes aren't metal   A natural finish for the Mossie would be NWF: lacquered wood. (that would be cool to see, btw.)

Mossie

Closest I've seen that modeled is by a guy called Dave Coward, he did a Mossie that had been burnt when it got a little too close it's quarry & was covered in burning fuel.  Not my pic:

This one is my pic, a photo I took at the Yorkshire Air Museum in 2006, it's a Mosquito that's undergoing a bit of restoration work.  You can clearly see the plywood construction.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Now, I could've sworn Italy used the Mossie postwar.  All NMF with roundels in 6 positions, but I can't find any mention of it anywhere, so I must have seen a whiff of it I think, because in my minds eye I see a model of it.

Prime suspect for this kind of thing would be Radish, or possibly the Wooksta.

Am I going a little mad?

And am I going to have to build this whiff now?

Italy never operated the mosquito, so if you are going to enjoy the sport of JMN baiting, I can't think of anything tastier than Italian. :drink:
Although Mexican also comes to mind...It either has to do with those two nations having the same combination of colors on their flags or because my stomach clock is rumbling..

Mossie

The list on Wiki isn't 100% complete, there's at least Switzerland & USSR missing.  You know, Brazil might be an option, they used mostly US types during WWII & their Air Force roundels are pretty funky.

Brazilians also operated a bunch of British Aircraft post war.  They operated the Gloster Meteor.  Oddly enough the Argentines also operated British aircraft post war too....Now, the Brazilian roundels are available in various scales at Hannants. :drink:
