He's actually a member here, I introduced him to the board a while ago and he browses once in a while.  He actually did four of them at the same time.

Thats not a Wif Steve....seen it in loads of Hollywood movies so it must be true...mustn't it ? ;D

Definitely not a whif? Saw that octopus in a John Wayne film, and then again they used it with models in "20,000 Fathoms Beneath The Sea".
Great isn't it.
The Americans used Nazi scientists to breed huge Octupi along with Tortoise, Bats and Penguins.
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

I forgot during which defense exhibition was this model displayed; it's what export version of the Harbin class (a.k.a. Type 052) destroyer would probably have looked like, with LY-60N SAM and user-specified helicopter.
To the individual soldiers, *everything* is a frontal assault!

Another find from the NSW IPMS show:

The I-400 and Seiran were real, but I've never seen the Seiran in USAAF markings.

That was part of the Panama Plan - I-400 had her markings blacked out, and her Seiran bombers were stripped to bare metal and done with US markings on them so as to increase the time they would have before being noticed during the attack on Panama.

Who doesn't like the Bermuda Triangle

Really cool idea! Is it wrong that I can identify both models? (Revell Esso/Mission Capistrano T2 Tanker and Marco Scheloske's Raumpatrouille ORION Paper Model

The idea is great, but using a triangular base  is just brilliant!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Super display  ;D
Love the use of the wine glass

The Bermuda Triangle is inspired, and the I-400 is superbly done

That's a brilliant dio of the Triangle!

Someday I plan to pick up an I-400, decor it in US markings and arm it with a Loon.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
