Anyone know what font(s) the British used in their aircraft serial numbers in WW II, or squadron codes for that matter?

Decal sheets tend to have slightly different ones, and even real planes seem to vary, but...If anyone has a good grasp of modern computer fonts that equal or approximate such things, please post them here on this thread!

Thanks.

Thanks, Weaver. Didn't find it directly, but it linked to:

that I just downloaded. We'll see.

[later edit] Hmmm-I've had some trouble with it, but did get some numbers and letters out of it kind of a back-door way.

There's two main styles, rounded & flat, you'll mostly find one or the other of these on generic decal sheets, sometimes both.  In the Battle of Britain period & before, you see quite a lot of variation in size, style & proportion, but after that it was pretty much rationalised to the flat & rounded style.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
