I do like an Eagle.  Good work Martin.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The funny thing is, it's almost done ---  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Ive being saying the same thing about this one for its entire time on the shelf of doom.......

And another three done.
Back to the 1940's for the first two,

A Captured Messerschmidt Bf-109X of the enemy Aircraft flight, RAF Collyweston.
This is the RS models kit built OOB using this particular boxing's 2nd option. IE a Captured bird in RAF marking.
The kit went together fine but the canopy is far to wide for the airframe, meaning the fit of the canopy is crap!
Vallejo paints for the most part with Lifecolour for the remainder.

Next, what has to be one of my top five favorite aircraft of all time. The Lysander.

A Westland Lysander I of the Estonian Airforce circa 1940.
Apparently Estonia did order Lysanders just prior to the Soviet take over. The airframes are reputed to be the ones that found their way to Finland.

A Matchbox kit Built OOB with a paint job of over all Halfords Audi Aluminium and decals from a Kora set that I acquired direct from Kora at an Eday show when it was still held in Prague. This scheme was option 2, option 1 was in standard RAF cammo, But I wanted this one to stand out from the crowd Lysander wise.

And finally
A trip Down under

What if the RAAF & RAN didnt use the Vampire and Mb326, but had the T-33 instead?

A RAN FAA operated Lockheed T-33 Shootingstar from around the mid 1970's

Yee oldie Hasegawa kit with decals from a 30 year old Model art sheet for an RAN MB326.
This one has a lot of paint on it. I over did the primer and coats of white by quite a margin. The primer, the Aluminium and white were all Halfords. The blue came from the Hataka range.
The kit itself is certainly showing its age, I'm sure the tooling is older than I am by a few years. It needed quite a bit of PSR to get the thing to look half decent before throwing paint at it.
I always hope for the best.

A triple whammy there OGL.

All three of them look the BUSINESS, specially the T-33.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Me too, I like all three, especially the T-Bird.

Hasegawa T-33A Shooting Star moulds date from 1969.
So not quite as old as me.
Looks good Martin.  I've got one in 'strayan service planned but you beat me to it.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very nice triple Martin, particularly like the 109X  Did mine in Japanese colours, problem is it looks real world

T-33 will certainly stand out on a table somewhere in the hopefully near future  ;)

A little nearer(ish) to home for the next one.
Including real world builds this is the 11th build thats been finished in March so Far.

A Swiss Airforce F-20A Tigershark of Fliegerstaffel 19 around 2008-2010.

This was very much a weekend build. It was started Saturday Afternoon and was finished this Monday evening.
The Hasegawa F-20 kit with a repaint and decals taken from the Italeri F-5N kit I did as an Argentinian F-5E last year.
Gunze for the most part on this one. with the AGM65's coming from one of the older Hasegawa weapon sets.

Eleven builds?!? You've outdone my last five years already, and in style!

The F-20 is beautiful and so natural it makes you wonder why the Swiss just didn't buy them for real.. Or did they now?  ;)

T-33......  ah man.. I love it. Simple but adequate aircraft (which I love... I love trainers especially) and a treatment with colors I like and a great what if. The F-20 is just badass.... I love that one, too.

Great builds Martin, glad you are marking constructive use of your furlough, i.e. reducing your container's stock! One year of lock down and I am yet to start anything, while the stash keeps getting bigger...
