Love all of these! The Stout looks great - I just ordered one from Scott's Model Shop on ebay.

Really nice work on the pair of them Martin, but given the general thickness of Anigrand's resin I feel sorry for the shelves that the Conestoga and Caravan go on  ;)

True Robert.  ;D I completely forgot he did a Belfast, it must weigh a ton ?? I've only built his smaller kits

And the last one for the Furlough period. I'm back in work as of the the 7th April.
That's a grand total of 19 builds (14 Whiff's, 4 real world and 1 Sci fi) over a period of 41 days.

That's around 1 build for every 2.157 days.

The Supermarine Seagull ASR-1. In service with the Maritime Operational Training Unit based at RAF St Mawgan around 1958.
The Seagull was rejected by the Royal Navy as they were heading down the path of Helicopters for the ASR/Plane guard role.
The RAF on the other hand still was interested in the type for its close in MPA/ASR role. The Seagull fitted the bill in their Airships minds and two squadrons were equipped with the type. They were replaced by the Seamew MR-2 in the MPA role and Whirlwinds in the rescue role.

This is an Olimp/Pro resin kit. Built OOB with a new gunze paint job of over all Dark Sea Grey, Decals from various sources via my decal stash.
I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Thanks to feature this rare plane that I had forgotten.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermarine_Seagull_(1948) reminds me the story, mainly that this 1948 prototype came from a project of 1940 corrected in 1944 (this was a warbird, completed after war).

And thanks for the inspiration! ;D

Blimey! At first I read it as if you were keeping my pace. Then I realised you werent referring to one kit in more that two thousand days..

Lovely Seagull as well.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Splendid job OGL.

I always thought they should have persevered with the Seagull, and you've just proved it. I've had the Whirlykits version for some time now and keep on wondering how to do an in service Whiff, and you may have triggered off more thoughts on the matter.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I've had the Whirlykits version for some time now

I to have tat kit and was only looking at it over the weekend wondering what to do it as. Was musing on BPF but then had a reality check with it being a vac-form and put it back into its nest.

That's come out really well Martin  I've built a couple of Olimp/Proresin kits and they've always impressed me.

2021 build Numbers 20, 21 & 22 are done......

Considering it happens to be July 4th. Its fitting numers 20 & 21 are Yank.

DH Mosquito B IX. 8th Airforce.
Concerned by the horrendous losses being suffured by the 8th over Germany, The top brass came very close to pulling the plug on daylight ops. Until an enterprising officer noticed that the Mosquito carried in terms of weight the same bomb load as a B-17. But with only two crew.
An experiment was put forward that borrowed mossies be trialed in place of some B-17's on a few raids. Early results showed that flying in formation didn't give much in the way of benefits thanks to there being no defensive armament. So a further experiment was tried, basically using the mossies high speed to its best advantage and use them to tackle the more awkward targets. This showed promise. So a full bomb group was re equipped with purpose built mk IX's on reverse lend-lease. They took on the missions that would likely cause high aircraft losses if flown by heavy bombers. Forgoing the bomber streams and going in at low level in small groups and multiple directions. They also took on the pathfinder role as well. working along side the RAF's 100 group. They soldiered on until the end of the war in Europe. plans to re equip other groups were not carried out thanks to the lobbying of Stateside manufactures and senior officers wedded to the heavy bomber concept.

Revell boxing of the old Matchbox kit with a new paint job (Gunze) and decals from a 1/144th B-17 set from Kits at war.

Martin RB-51C Lancer of the 10th TRW based at RAF Bruntingthorpe in 1960.
My take on the B-51 had it entered service. I used the markings from an old Altmark B-66 decal sheet. I choose the 10th TRW thanks to the local connection to me as I live less than 20 miles away from Bruntingthorpe. As a recce bird I'm saying this beast carry's the camera's in a bomb bay mounted pod. That saved me having to drill out camera ports through the thick resin walls of this kit.
Anigrand resin kit built and painted OOB, but with markings lifted from the aforementioned B-66 sheet.

And lastly a return to a UK subject.

A Folland Flounder IA serving with the British Pacific Fleet, late 1944 - early 1945.
Yes, this is a Unicraft kit. See! they can be built. With enough patients and elbow grease.
This is a big beast. Its similar in size to a TBM Avenger.
Markings taken from an Xtradecal Barracuda sheet, and the rear turret is from the MR-2 boxing of the Airfix Shackleton.

One thing I will say about the kit. Igor has started using decent resin at long last.
That said it still needed a lot of effort to get it anyware close to what I considered half decent. The vacform canopy and bomb aimers windows were ok but were clearly "smash molded" rather than properly vac formed. The turret part was a basic clear dome and no use what so ever. hence why I "stole" the mid-upper twin 20mil turret from the Shack kit. Igor used to supply resin plugs to allow you to make your own replacement clear parts if needed.
It would be helpfull if he started doing that again.
I always hope for the best.

A worthy collection, Martin!!  All well constructed, with a remarkably plausible Mosquito backstory.   Well done!!

Ooooer!  Especially like the RB-51.  Wasn't there an old 50s gung-ho movie starring William Holden that featured the (so-called 'real' world)  XB-51?

Yes there was, and for the life of me, I can't remember the title right now.
