Ok for the record let me state that I'm in no way a fan of the Craptor, this is the Sierra I come up with while dodging Accounting classwork & the boredom that is my life on the weekdays.

Now with that said, sometime lastnite my dark creative side reared its ugly head after I came in from work & started looking up stuff for the Denel Rooivalk in my reference library . . . While having no joy on that little endeavor I did run across a few pics of both the original YF-22 & the production spec Craptor, which got the ol' brainbox turnin about the proposed FB-22 idea. My thoughts are on mating the wings (upscaled) from the YF to the production model fuselage to create a full delta medium range bombtruck.

Now did anyone make a YF-22 in 1/48?

Took you long enough...

As far as I know, no one did a 1/48 YF-22, but I know Testors did a 1/32 scale one.  Maybe a 1/32 YF's wings would fit on an Italeri 1/48 F-22?

The 1/32nd scale Craptor wings will fit with a bit of tweaking on the 1/48th scale Craptor.  The problem then is to remove all of the now over-scale seam lines and get the end result to look convincing.  I have a spare set of 32nd scale wings just for that purpose the rest of the Craptor carcass was donated to a worthy WHIF member that shall remain anonymous.
