Not sure if I'll join in, but some ideas are starting to form.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

You'd have to do something about those modern looking tracks, pedrails would be ideal.  ;D

Maquette do two pre-dreadnought era ships as well, the cruiser Aurora & battleship Potemkin in 1/400.  Might be useful.

Dare I pull the 1/350 Hasegawa MIkasa from the stash and put her on tracks?  ;D

I also have the 1/350  Zvezda Knyaz Suvorov which is a fairly OK kit.
