Then you'd have to build a HUGE green Thunderbird 2 to carry it around!  :o

NARSES2

Special Hobby have announced they are re-issuing their BV.155. I thoroughly enjoyed mine, tempted to get another to do as a recce job.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Interesting email from SH this morning announcing a resin Sabre engine for the Airfix Tempest V and a trolley-ack, pilot and ground crewman AND a dog as well!

The Sabre might be able to fit a Typhoon too methinks, and I can't recall anyone doing a decent trolley-ack before.

Well this is a new one: Special Hobby are reissuing their 1/72nd F-84F Thunderstreak kit in four Luftwaffe schemes, and included in the box will be fragments of one of the real machines which crashed in the Sumava mountains in 1959:

https://www.specialhobby.info/2024/03/sh72505-f-84f-thunderstreak-reborn.html

Can't decide if that's tasteful or not to be honest:  I suppose it all depends on what happened to the pilot.

Depending on what the parts are, I suppose you could incorporate them into a display base that tells the story of what happened.

It's not all bad. A flight of 2 F-84s (DD107, DD108) from West Germany got lost in thick cloud and and hit the trees in Czechoslovakia. The pilots made good use of their Martin Baker MK.GT5 ejection seats. They then had a stay in prison...

Be nice if you could choose which part.  I'd have a turbine blade (because I think it would look greedy if I asked for a whole engine).

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Note that the P-35 and the J-9 are not the same aircraft. The J 9, Seversky EP-106, had a longer fuselage. Sixty EP-106 were taken into USAAC service as the P-35A after the US arms export embargo was enacted in 1940.

Yes, good spot: the two kits have different main sprues, but share a common clear sprue and etch(?).

If one wants to build Jackie Cochrane's 1938 Bendix Trophy winning aircraft the J-9 kit is what you'd use.
The AP-7 racer she flew was the basis of the EP-106 and the other "long fuselage" members of the family.

Cool - I don't suppose there's a decal sheet available for it is there?
