Well thats the end of August and effectively the end of Summer, the sprogs go back to school, the roads get busy again and the nights get darker !!! - We also have only 2 months towards the UK Scale Model World 2009 at Telford. Thats just nine weeks to get whatevers being built completed, and considering there are shows and other events in the coming weeks that aint a great deal of build time left for those specials builds  :o

I was thinking something similar as I drove-into work this morning. Even though I leave 'Schloss Jackson' at 0630, during term time there's still a good number of cars on the even the back roads and goat-tracks that I use. Ahhhh well

As for build time, here's my (quick) agenda.

This week. Finish the odds'n ends on the Norwegian A-7 whilst simultaneously begin to decal two Bf109's and a Stuka (all real world).

Next week. All else is put aside for the MiG 3 and Tiffie projects for SMW 09. I'll have to build these two simultaneously, I simply wont have the time to do them one after one. I've taken leave on the Thursday and Friday so I may be able to get to Telford for Friday lunchtime like last year to hinder/help Narses II with the setting up. I'll liaise with Dork as to which day we come down to the show.

My friends are leaving for Greece again today for 3 months so I'll get a lot more modelling done as I'm house sitting and all be at Telford on the Friday but not sure what time as I'm calling into Cosford on the way down.  ;D

OH dear.... better get building now! My workbench has so many unfinished kits it's hard to know where to start, or do I mean finish?

On the way to Telford I plan to stop at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum and the National Memorial Arboretum near Alrewas. You are welcome to join me at either place.

Martin you will need to let me know when our services are required on the Friday

I'm commuting both Saturday and Sunday.
I aim to get my "Biggles things" finished and packed for the end of next week.
That'll leave lots of time to put the decals on my F-104 Starski and finish the ****** and ***** for the competition

Oh Sh!te...  I best get a move on.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'm not building anything for the SIG or any other display, so I'm under no pressure this year :)

I may be able to come down on the Friday, but probably not.  Definately there on the Saturday.

Due to the very real and frankly terrifying prospect of losing my job by the end of the year (the company is moving production to Birmingham with the loss of two thirds of my department - insert large numbers of four letter words and derisory comments here!!!!), I won't be able to make Telford this year.

Better start flogging off some of the stash.  Thankfully, I've enough to keep me going for the next century...

This means I won't get to meet you guys but have a good show, buy some nice kits and remember - show LOTS of pictures!
