What's the story behind this one? Always thought the Iranians didn't have that many Su-22s. Only a couple of "adopted" Iraqi Fitters.
This looks like some trials unit.

If I read the caption correctly on airliners.net, poster "Babak. T" claims that Iran received 40 Su-22s and 4 Su-20 from Iraq.  They were transferred to the air force of the Revolutionary Guards, who found them unsuitable, and the aircraft were then placed into storage.  Apparently they were recently restored and placed into service with the IRIAF.

Picked up a copy of Aeroplane Monthly today, it has an article on the Westland-Hill Pterodactyls.  There were pics of the Pterodactyl IV wearing two different shark mouth schemes in it's time.  I've found the first shark mouth on the net, can't post as it's copyrighted & offered for sale by the RAF Museuem, but here's the link:

Saw that Skywarrior 'in person' at an IAT, in the early nineties - think it was its' last year in service. I recall its paintwork was immaculate, not even an oil streak
