Would like to thank everybody for the kind words. Trust me there are some flaws that aren't visible in the photos that will need a bit of attention, but with a bit of creativity I hope I can hide them.

Didn't make much progress tonight, by the time I was done with dinner, dishes, laundry etc. didn't have much time left. I did manage to get the belly painted though.

Ian, suggestions always welcome.

The radome.... either that deep bluish green you'll see on Su15's and very early Su27's or a contrasting pale matt grey would really set off the camouflage.... What do you think ??

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Hmmmmm, I like the deep bluish green idea. I was thinking black or charcoal grey....now I'm going to have to think about it.

Pale grey would fit with the current colour for Su-30 radomes & would also blend into the scheme.  White is a possibility too, that was used on Su-27's.  Another is a cream shade for 'natural' composite, maybe as a demo bird or a temporary cone after a prang?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Sauragnmon

A white nose would blend in nicely, I agree, potentially it might look pretty sweet with a black cheat line to clean it up.  The Blue-green would also be pretty cool, though black/charcoal not so much as they'd stand out a bit like a sore thumb.

Sorry, haven't been round as much as I would like. Haven't even been at the bench in a couple of weeks, I was going to try and wrap this one up this weekend but I have to work tomorrow and my chores list for today is pretty daunting. I've been itching to get back to it!

I'll post as soon as I can sneak in some time.
