OK chaps, I'm cutting plastic on a Soviet TSR-2 today.
I'm waiting for the Gas Man to call to fit a new metre....sometime between 08.00 hours and 20.00....so it could be a long day! Good. I can cut out and prepare bits.
I'll need to buy some Soviet seats, and the rest of the extras will come from an enormous spares box full of all sorts of accumulated 40+years of modelling.
A new nose/radome is essential, pylons, weapons, lumps, bumps and fin/rudder can be expected. New engines.
As well, of course, as a new camouflage.

Probably based at the Frontal Aviation base at Dennisov (formerly Wittering) after the Soviet coup led by Comrade Dennisov Healliski.

It's a terrible thing to happen to a TSR, but, Cannot wait to see it  ;D  ;D  ;D
Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

And Wing Fences, comrades, it has to have WING FENCES to prevent the air from defecting.

i think hacking up a TSR2 is sacrilegious, but if the end result looks good, then im ok with it

There are 3 reasons to "hijack" a RSR.2 kit:

1. I want to do something different, more than a repaint with a few flourishes

2. I want a reaction from people who look at it

3. I want a reaction from Mr.X....the dreaded "he who has been expelled".

I've just been on all afternoon fitting a new undercarriage leg to mine, drilling holes, test fitting and sanding and it just feels great, that feeling when you know something has gone right, whether anyone will notice the work is a different matter but at the moment I feel good.  ;D
All I've got to do now is the other undercarriage leg but thats for tomorrow.

With that loooong fuselage, how about lift engines as per the Faithless or the delta-winged Su-24 prototype?

Now there's and idea a VTOL (or STOL) TSR2 with lift jets in the weapon bay.

I have considered a 3rd engine above the other two. But that perhaps comes later. After all, I've a "few" TSR.2 kits to play with ;D

Or how about below the other two with a ventral intake? Obviously going to screw it as a strike aircraft, but with a modified nose it's make a hell of an interceptor......
