Only to publish something! :banghead:

a my drawing (very basic) with some nose variations from a a regular F-4E

(I would to finish the my F-404 with the last nose, that with the F-104 nose cone.)

Good alternative choice, it is also the fourth version that I prefer!

Ok, saved the day: something done also today.

Using half tube of superglue and a lot of accelerator and styrene's stocks of various size I have formed/filled the upper part of the nose.

Tomorrow will try to give it a shape.

Today's work: sanded all the extra plastic glued yesterday night.

The nose is near of to get the final look.

Today glued the F-104 radome to the modified nose of the Phantom and sanded all to shape.

Second work, added to the rear part of the canopy a plastic fairing.

For last glued in the flattened top of the Phantom fuselage a pair of F-104 wing tanks cutted in the half.

FINALLY I'm at a good point:

A pair of days ago I have glued the Phantom's horizontal stabilizer with the my homemade F-104 enlarged empennage.

And yesterday night the final phase: glued the wings to the fuselage.

Now the kit is a this stage:

And from this moment start the worst part: to close all the gaps with the putty... I hate this part.

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Looking great!

I like the enlarged empennage and the new nose...
...but the positive diedral of the wing tip is a little bit    disturbing (just my feeling)!

Dork the kit slayer

This is one "wild" project. I really cant wait to see this finished and painted up.

I thank all of them have given me compliments on the work done: I'm proud of this.

About the "problem" of the wings with the ends pointing upwards, this "problem" has already been raised in a previous message.

Honestly, now that the wings are in position, the result does not seem bad, but I keep seeing if there is the possibility of making changes.
Will See!
