Update 1, Yesterday:

after the main assembly, i started paintwork on the aircraft and the pilot, decals were applied fast as the paint was dry pretty fast
unforunatly, i found that  was missing one piece of the rear landing gear, after searching without result, i decided to simply build it with the landing gear up.

one thing that grinds my gears about the Airfix Gnat, is that it didnt have the underwing tanks, and i didnt have any good fitting ones in the spares, so hence the "Clean" configuration.

and finally, ALMOST FINISHED  ;D
i just need to get some putty to fill up that nasty gap in the port wing :)

Wow! Nice. Two questions:
- Who got the idea of calling this aircraft "Phallus"? is that you? It is the medical term for "dick" or "cock"! Not very appropriate...
- Why "THE Navy" on the side of the aircraft? Was it like that in the movie? Such a silly idea on their part!

Can't wait to see more on that model, anyway...

Phallus is more appropriate than the other two for public consumption! ;D

Hot Shots was a spoof of Top Gun, an over-the-top comedy that was purposely silly - and a helluva lot of fun! Click here for the Wiki entry about it.

Oh, okay... didn't know it was a spoof movie, never saw it. Is it the one with Charlie Sheen in it? Is it really worth the rental?
