Heh - now there's a more general idea in that: "tank" versions of ancient weapons:

Armoured Ballista: a tracked chassis with a big arm that throws aircraft bombs

Armored Chariot: a form of armoured car that has all the crew and weapons on a rear section with two big wheels, towed by a power section with two V-12s and four small wheels.... :wacko:

Cool stuff. maybe the siege tower-type vehicle would have a gimballed track section, so the tower itself remained upright (assisted by some suitably hefty gyroscopes, of course) while the tracks tilted with the terrain? As long as it could maintain traction it could basically go anywhere.
