Applying flock (had to custom mix the backing paint as I had nothing even close to this shade!)

Flocked interior - there is still much work to be done on the dash and seats, also BMF work on the door panels.

Beginnings of BMF on the body. The flash is ruining the colour; the purple is not as blue as it looks here; it's much closer to the pics I posted before of the dash and engine block

Wow! I like the look of that flock for the "fuzzy" interior!

My best friend had a 1963 Pontiac Tempest Le Mans, and I liked the look of the car.

The last post was in October---what had happened since??

Somehow I missed this one (not a surprise, really, as cars aren't my thing).  Wow!  I've never seen a car model with a plush interior.  I am in awe.

You know, this would be a really cool job if fitted with a floating hull.

Another nice idea would be to use the top of this car as the canopy/cockpit on the PBY Catalina  Do models excist of these two Catalinas in the same scale?

I think you could get away with 1/43 (common scale for collector's pre-built cars, at least in the US) for the car, and 1/48 for the aircraft.

I like the idea of embedding the passenger compartment of a car into the cockpit of an aircraft. A convertible would be nice while taxiing on the water, but a little...WINDY once you get going! Maybe this PBY/Pontiac cockpit could have a "convertible-hardtop" like some late-'50s Fords did that had the hardtop stowed in the trunk!!

Any progress on this, since?  Sure looks promising!

Like "flocking awesome!" perhaps? ;) Nice one PW, although I can feel myself getting car-sick just looking at all that upholstery....
