Some nice stuff in that list!

But don't forget that one syllable means propellors while two syllables means jet-powered. I don't think three syllables exists in NATO names, nor do I know what they would indicate.

Wolfman

Here's a fighter codename: FIREBAT.

I think that 3 syllables names are reserved for hyperdrive vehicles.  Like the "Fastbugger" and the "Blownaway"....

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

"Gremlin" has been used: it's the SA-14.

I don't think it's such a good idea to name "enemy" weapons after U.S. cities or states. Besides I think four syllables is a no-no where NATO names are concerned.

Air-to-air missle (and a rather effective and dreaded on too!): ARG!
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

When starting on my stalled Ka-58 helicopter whiff kit, I brainstormed a load of H-words for a NATO reporting name, I eventually settled on Hagfish.  I dumped the bit of paper a while ago, but I had upwards of forty names, forgotten most of them but here's a handful (there's another! ), plus some that I've brainstormed again:

Hagfish
Hag
Heathen
Haggard
Haggle
Houndog
Houndtooth
Hotcake
Herring
Hardball
Hardarse/Hardass
Hangdog
Hitter
Hittite
Hun
Hunger
Hulk
Hoard
Hoarder
Horde
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I had been considering FASTBACK for my Su-49 Buzzard (whatever the word is in Russian) with forward swept wings.
