Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on this.  To make the wing fold, I first cut the wings.  Actually, I cut them before assembling the top and bottom halves.  Once I assembled them, I glued a piece of .020 sheet styrene over the open ends of the cuts.  I then trimmed these to match the wing profile.  I drilled holes in the end caps and using a sharp blade, cut out a rectangular opening for the hinge.

To make the hinge itself, I cut Evergreen .010 by .080 styrene strips into short lengths. You can see on the drawing below.  The longer strips are the hinge itself and the shorter pieces are just spacers to keep the hinge fingers aligned during the assembly.  After I cut the pieces, I stacked them up as shown.  I found a small piece of sheet AL, about .5 by .8 inch and bent it to the angle I wanted for the wing fold.  This kept all the fingers at the same angle as I glued it up.  Once the glue was set on the first one, I made a second for the other wing.  The next day, I cleaned up the parts and rounded off the outside point of the angle.  Then I just slid them into the openings in the wings and glued them in place.  You can adjust the size and number of pieces to fit your particular model.

I've never thought that folding wings are all that hard to do.
All you need are mysterious-looking attachments to the two wings and colored wire disappearing into square holes, and Bob's your uncle.

Hey great work with your carrier-based Me-410!!!!

Just wondering with the kit that you used to build it, if you would consider utilizing that 50mm BK 5 cannon in a detachable under-fuselage gondola arrangement to give your Me-410 an added standoff anti-ship capability to supplement your single torpedo? (pity to just through it away!!)
Also out of curiosity does your wing-folding build allow for the wing to fold over further, so as to lay more over the engine cowling - so as to give your Me-410 a much better hanger-deck roof clearance?

P.S. your great carrier-based Me-410 has reinvigorated my long term interest in the prospects of a carrier-based Henschel Hs-129!
Naturally the first thing would be the priority replacement of the pathetic make-shift Gnome-Rhone engines with something more powerful and robust (say BMW 132 radials ), wing-folding arrangement, a single under-fuselage torpedo or a the detachable (gondola-type) 37mm BK 3.7 cannon (as actually used by the Hs-129 for antitank work!) and of course a retractable arrest hook.
The combined armour and armament of the Hs-129 would make for a very robust and very hard hitting anti-ship and ground strike/attack platform for the likes of the Graf Zeppelin carrier.

Unfortunately I am no modeler
But hopefully someone may make my dream come true

Now that is nice ! The colours and markings are very catchy, especially the spinners. I'd like to see a longer nose on it, maybe a radar....but that's juts me.
