"Biggles Goes To Telford"~Saturday...

one reason I was knackered on Saturday was a late night Friday.....
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Still His (or Her) Majesty, Queen Caroline of the Midlands, Resident Drag Queen

A rather superb MiG-3 floatplane...
When Martin and myself started the VTOL Starfighter build, we didn't know we'd spawn others too.....
A terrific Revell 1/72nd Hurricane IIc ;D
Sometimes it can all become too much....a young lass overcome with excitement.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Finally, a VC-10 model inspired by Chris Gibson's book!

That SweAF canard Bulldog was a hoot! Love it! :)

There were more Whiffs out in the main displays this year than ever before I thought, anyone else of the same opinion? We're either becoming respectable (perish the the thought!) or the word is spreading........... ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

keep the great pics coming.

Also, noticed a couple of nice Russian Mistels on the stand.  If they were done by Forum members, hurry and post them in the Mistel thread so they can get in the running for the probable new Whiffie category.

Question for you all.  Looking at pictures from Last Years show and even before, I noticed quite a few models that appear year after year.  I am assuming this is mainly on the Club/SIG tables.  Is there not much emphasis on putting out new stuff each year or is it done just to make the tables look fuller?  On other stands, looks like they theme out each year which gives a nice new look in my opinion.

I have got to get over there for one of these sometime.  Completely different atmosphere than a US Nats and I really like the table displays.  Hopefully the What If table in Phoenix next year will live up to the standard.

The british shows dont put so much into the competative side of the hobby. Its important but the social side, like the club/sig stands and the traders take presidence. Our aim in a way is more to show our efforts to the general public rather than go "gong" (Medal) hunting. And to increase our stash levels :)
I always hope for the best.

Know that and like that about the UK shows.  Wish we could get good size turnouts for displays like that here but just too much ground to cover.  The Nats is the only venue that has really started doing that but some of the local shows get a couple also (especially if it is in Texas, it seems).

More wondering about the recycled models, per se.
