There were more Whiffs out in the main displays this year than ever before I thought, anyone else of the same opinion? We're either becoming respectable (perish the the thought!) or the word is spreading........... ;)

I noticed that Kit - it's definately becoming acceptable if not respectable, rather like an aged ecentric uncle

Question for you all.  Looking at pictures from Last Years show and even before, I noticed quite a few models that appear year after year.  I am assuming this is mainly on the Club/SIG tables.  Is there not much emphasis on putting out new stuff each year or is it done just to make the tables look fuller?  On other stands, looks like they theme out each year which gives a nice new look in my opinion.

There are models that don't seem to fade away. Traveling to a fair number of regional shows you tend to see a small group of models again and again over the years. It might be as space fillers or more likely just the fact that the owner is particularly proud of them and hasn't had the time to do new ones. I have "rotated" models at shows in the past, brought older ones out for a day in the sunlight before they go back in the box again. Another reason is that some of the SIG's are very specific in what they cover and only have a few members thus the core of their displays tends to stay the same because of the low number of new projects completed in a year.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Rad was telling me about some of the things the teachers got up to including practical jokes on the Sunday - no wonder kids used to enjoy school  ;D

Finally, a VC-10 model inspired by Chris Gibson's book!

The 2 1/72nd VC-10's were by "JB" from the Keighly club, as were the Rotodynes.
Eddie also had another little one together with his completed 1/72nd AEW version !!!

Of course I made kids cry!!!
