I much prefer Mr. Creak's explanation......  ;D

It's good, but the real truth is that the entire diorama is held in a time dilation field. It's still moving but it is so imperceptively slow that it looks stationary....

Well, I've seen in-flight models depicted "plugged in" before, but I've never seen it done like this, or done this well

A neat idea.

At least he didn't have to scratchbuilt the whole 1/48 KC-135 to go with it.  ;D

Now that is a very interesting way of doing it.  Looks good!

Ah yes.  Shoey's Mad Max dio.
The man is impossibly talented.
He says "I suspended the Falcon using a piece of metal rod, bent each end.  One end down through the caravan and the other up through the petrol tank.  Fibre optic from my Christmas tree was used to hold all of the bits and pieces."
Here's a behind the scene's photo.

There is a whole thread on it on the Australian Automotive Model Builders Forum with many more photos here http://ozautobuilders.forum-motion.com/t7119-mad-max-crash-scene

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yeah, excellent.  Good to hear from you Nev!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Michael Paul Smith's Elgin Park: not only great modelling, but some really good old-fashioned, in-camera trick photography.

QuoteFor over 25 years, he has been creating an imaginary world called "Elgin Park," filled with scaled models of old cars. They're 1/24th the size to be exact. He chooses appropriate surroundings for these models, and then uses his camera to capture the most realistic shot possible. The kind of shot that you have no idea is within a tiny world.

Here's the best part: he does it all with a $200 point and shoot camera. Dive into his world below.

Michael Paul Smith has also a FlickR account where he frequently publishes works - became aware after he visited my proto galery and left a nice comment!

Absolutely superb stuff
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
