Ki-84, with apologies

I have to apologize for posting two real-world projects in a row.  I vow that the next one will be a whiff!

This is the (horrible) old Tamiya kit.  The hellcat in the previous post (and background) thankfully donated a spare instrument panel.

One thing to note:  This is the first time I've been able to make a passable antenna wire.  This one is stretched sprure again, but I made a small loop on the tail, drew the sprue through the loop, glued it and let it sit for a while.  It's stayed tight for a week now, which is a personal record for me.

At first glance, I thought you had some kind of mismatched Mistel here.  Just the angle of this photo.

Nice work on this one.  Congrats on getting the antenna wire to work.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Hayates are always great to see! Regardless of the guise!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Nice work! Very smart look to it. :D
Look behind you!

I have to admit, I like the Ki-84's look, overall it's such a smooth looking fighter.
Putty-fu, Scratch-jutsu and Bash-chi, the sacred martial arts of the What-If. Mastering them, is Ancient Chinese Secret.

Just your friendly neighbourhood Mad Scientist and Ship-whiffer.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

I love Hayate!

Your models are really top notch!
Will die without understanding this world.

No apologies necessary, noxioux! That's one killer Ki-84! I like seeing some "real world" stuff every now and then. Inspiration comes from many sources.

Excellent work!
